As a community-based dental public health program we are partnered with elementary school administrators, nurses and teachers. By working in the schools using portable dental equipment, we support good oral health for children who are seen in the program.
The primary purpose of an oral health prevention program is to prevent tooth decay (cavities) using dental sealants and fluoride.
Although preventable, tooth decay is a chronic disease affecting all age groups. In fact, it is the most common chronic disease in childhood. Untreated tooth decay is associated with difficulty in eating, and communicating, and lower self-esteem. Dental disease affects a child’s ability to concentrate in school and their ability to learn. Adverse consequences of dental disease, including tooth decay, are far worse for those who have limited or no access to dental services.
Classroom teachers or staff will receive a free spin toothbrush if they receive 100% return of the consent forms provided to the students in their classroom and they are returned to the nurses office. 100% means all parents and guardians respond regardless of whether they choose to participate in the Clean and Seal Dental Program or not. Ex: YES and NO’s.

The Clean and Seal Dental Program will be growing to provide dental service to facilities such as Nursing Homes, Care Facilities, Hospitals, Medical Facilities, Community Health Centers with our mobile and portable dental program. We will partner with facilities coordinators / directors to provide the most needed dental care for patients residing in these facilities.
All residents should have an oral health assessment check when in a short or long-term facility.

When did you last see a dentist, and whom did you see? If you don’t have a dentist, would you help in finding one?

Do you have dentures, and if so are they marked with your name? If not, would you like them to be marked?

What dental aids do you currently use? For example, manual or electric toothbrush, mouthwash, floss.
